Seed Type Review for Warm Season Vegetables”
This will cover the seeds we will be planting in our Seed Starting Workshops.

March 23, 2019 (Saturday)
Two sessions available: 10 am to 11:30 am or 1 pm to 2:30 pm
“Getting a Head-Start on Seeds – Part I”

Also called “Seed Starting Sessions”

The idea is to give you a chance to get a head-start on starting seeds and learning the timing, sowing techniques, etc. You will have the opportunity to learn the process and have the option keep your seed tray in my greenhouse until germination phases. The focus will be on growing tomatoes (cherry and beefsteak sizes) and peppers (hot and sweet). We will have other seed varieties available to mix and match as desired. All certified organic seeds will be used and we are offering heirlooms!

April 13, 2019 (Saturday)
Two sessions available: 10 am to 11:30 am or 1 pm to 2:30 pm
“Monitoring Your Seeds Starts – Part II of the March 23rd’s session”
This is to monitor the progress and if the weather is not cooperating, adjusting when some seeds will be sown from Part I above. Sometimes we don’t get enough sun even if the seeds are in a heated greenhouse. These two sessions will be great for those considering a hobby type greenhouse and/or want to learn about sowing seeds early, etc. This date is also optional if you wish to take your seed tray home from Session One above rather than keeping them in the greenhouse.

Please Note: Seats are limited for the seed sessions and the am session on March 23rd is almost full – It is a good idea to sign up early if interested.

Note: We added a new date for Seed Starting Sessions on Tuesday afternoon, 3 pm start time (or arrive at 2:45 pm if you can!). Sign-up required. See info below.

“The 10th Annual Holiday Kissing Ball and Wreath Making Workshop”
Very excited that this will be our special 10th annual celebration. However, take note that this year, Thanksgiving falls a bit later than it did in 2018, so right now, I’m thinking of scheduling the Advanced session on November 30th and the 2nd session will be held on the following Saturday this year (instead of a week night). Special invitations are being planned for the first session on 11/30, so I will keep you posted on all later in the season!

December 7, 2019 (Saturday)
Time: To be announced
“KB and Wreath Making Workshop (Advanced and Beginner)”
The 2nd session will be held on a Saturday this year (instead of a week night). We hope by doing this 2nd session during day hours, more people will be able to attend who could not make the weeknight sessions before in years prior, plus a day session is so much better than evening in winter!
