I live in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, CT and make custom orders of Succulent Topped Pumpkin Centerpieces. Here are some examples of those I’ve made for people.
I personally love the look of the ones created on the cinderella style pumpkins but they may be made on any shape pumpkins and any size. Even gourds make nice centerpieces.
This year, in our state, many local pumpkin growers had issues with the constant rainfall we had this summer and it resulted in some flooding of fields. There may be some limited supply of the local grown pumpkins, which I prefer supporting local businesses to source the pumpkins, but here and there, special finds are sought out for my custom orders.
Each pumpkin design is “unique.” I truly can not create cookie style cutter where you do the same exact thing on each centerpiece. I prefer to let my passion flow as I select the succulents (which are live and may be transplanted into pots later in the year) for each pumpkin.
I require 2-3 days notice for orders, mostly because pumpkins are a little more challenging to source right now. Also, prices have gone up for “everything” this season. Just read the headlines in the newspapers and you will see how many factors have impacted many industries. Therefore, I quote prices to you based on what you are looking for. Most pumpkins (smaller sizes) start at $30 each and larger sizes go up to $65. Medium sizes are $50 each.
The decor is fall themed or Halloween themed. Moss on the pumpkins is live moss (not dyed) and helps the succulents grow until you wish to remove them and place them into small pots in your home. The arrangements last anywhere from one month to six months – based on the pumpkin’s longevity.
