This succulent topped pumpkin order was by a repeat customer from last season. She asked me to make her one again this fall season to serve as her centerpiece in her home on her dining room table. She likes the natural tones of yellow and red colors of fall and her order was the first order I made this year for succulent topped pumpkins.
I always referred to these pumpkins as “Cinderella” shaped, but I have noticed local farmers refer to them as “stackable” pumpkins. In fact, one farmer told me that the seed packets indicates “stackable” as the type. Regardless of the name, I love using them to create these centerpieces.
I acquire trays of beautiful succulents of all shapes and sizes from a local grower as well as grow my own succulents. The succulent colors are greens, light blues, dark greens, some with touches of red on the edges, and, in addition to these shown above, I have larger and smaller stock available to work with on my succulent topped pumpkin designs.
After this white succulent topped pumpkin was completed, I set it in my green garden wagon for a photo. There is a faux red pomegranate and yellow mini pumpkin on it along with the leaf decor and tiny berries, etc. I loved how it came out and was excited to deliver it to a local customer.
And here it is at her residence on her front entrance area. I set it on a chair for her to retrieve when she arrived home later. The next day, she texted me to order five more!
