This young lady in the photo below inspired me so much yesterday at my first offering of this year’s Succulent Hanging Basket Workshops that I want to make a “special offer” in honor of Mother’s Day at our next workshop on May 11th, Saturday, 1-3 pm.
Register for this class to make a Succulent Hanging Basket ($38 pp) and you may bring your young child (or grandchild) with you to make a small pot with succulents and pay for their plants only (soil, fertilizer and pot included for FREE for your young student).
The following rules apply:
Only children 10 years or older
Small children’s pot will either be a recycled terracotta or other pot, or a new types
This offer must be combined with a registered hanging basket attendee
CT Sales Tax is applicable on plant purchases for your child’s pot
Pre-registration of hanging basket attendee with payment required in advance
Note: This “Mom and Me” special offer is applicable for the Saturday, May 11th session only in Broad Brook, CT.
Included per Registered attendee; ($38) pp by check:
A set mix of soft and hardy succulents in 2″ pots
A 3.5″ special accent plant (spiller or other) succulent
The 10″ hanging basket with chain, coco-liner
Fertilizer to feed the plants over the summer
Specially amended potting mix
Handouts and Reference Documentation
Tools to use in class (learn about our tips and tricks of handling succulents!)

The class is between 1.5 to 2 hours. We teach all about the succulents, plant care, watering, insects, propagation, and more. Then you pick your succulents and create your hanging basket.
The succulents grow quickly to fill your basket and we teach you how to handle them in the winter to keep them going.
Succulents are super popular, drought-tolerant (perfect candidates for summers and when you leave for vacations, etc.), are fun and collectible. Kids love them too!
Attendees have the option to buy additional succulents at special workshop day prices the day of to add more as desired to their arrangement. Hope you will join us!

This fee is for (1) attendee of the Succulent Hanging Basket Workshop to be held on Sat, May 11, 2019 at 1 pm - 3 pm in Broad Brook, CT. It includes registration for one succulent hanging basket with a mix of 2" succulents and an accent succulent and all components with basket included. You have the option to bring along a child (10 years or older) to accompany you to make a small pot. Pot is provided with soil and you only pay for any additional succulents for the small pot as desired.
