Kokedama balls are all the rage right now, and Container Crazy CT if offering this new hanging living art to our line of workshops.
A prototype is displayed at the bookstore, where I will be every Tuesday and Thursday, so when you stop in, I will tell you all about them.
Right now – let me explain what Kokedamas are – They are plants wrapped a unique way to form a ball and hung from the ceiling, frames of windows, or any where you would like to create a funky ambiance to your rooms or outdoor spaces.
They may be hung from trees outdoors, trellises, arbors, a railing – it creates a very artsy look and the care is easy. These pieces of living art are great for special occasions too. They are fun to make.
We will be offering this as a workshop on the same dates as the Botanical Wall Art Workshops – but you must pre-register to save your spot – Seats are limited!

1 staghorn plant (4.5-5″ pot size), live moss materials, soil, roping twine. You must bring fishing line with you.

My vision is to be available to my clients and attendees every Tuesday and Thursday for questions related to my plants and workshops, etc.
Workshop creation prototypes are displayed at the store so you may see what we plan to make. They will be changed out as new topics are added, etc.
Additionally, there will be some plants, amendments, and other cool Cathy T finds for sale among the books. You will be able to request special items and plants available from my stock in my greenhouse for pickup at the store.
The bookstore is conveniently located off of Sullivan Avenue in the United Bank plaza in South Windsor, CT. Look for it on the left side as you enter the plaza.
I’m also very excited to let my attendees know there are some really nice shops in this plaza – a huge pet store, an exercise (yoga and health), a place to eat, and more. It is a nice stop by place due its location on the way to Manchester or East Windsor, only six miles from my home town of Broad Brook.
