Custom made boards! Imagine the possibilities – it is 18″ x 20″ and may be hung either direction or leaned against a perfect location in your home – and so much can be created with this board – add a “calligraphy quote”, attach a ‘mason jar or funky hooks’ for use, apply an overlaid unique frame to glam it up, or attach unique art pieces around the specimen plant. We will be posting more photos of a prototype soon. Each board will be unique.

Information:

Learn the process of creating a living piece of working art for your wall. In this workshop, you will learn how to prepare and attach a living plant with strong architecture to a custom made board. The board will be a large size of approximately 16″ wide x 20″ long, which is a common picture frame size. This will enable you to attach your own picture frame overlay (if you wish) to glam it up, or you may choose to leave it as is without a frame in its natural state. This board is a perfect size to hang from a wall or lean on a floor in a particular location in the home. The plant will last on this board for years due to it’s large board size.

What you will learn:

This workshop will teach you the proper techniques for mounting an epiphytic specimen plant specially ordered in advance, and how this unique plant thrives and grows on boards. You will also learn how to care for the plant, appropriate fertilizers, how to water, and where this plant originates from and why it thrives in this type of growing environment.

Taking it home:

Like all our workshops, you take your completed project home. In this case, the living wall art may be enjoyed inside the home year round, and/or taken outdoors in summer to enjoy on your patio or porch. It is the ultimate container garden piece of art. And don’t fear, it is not difficult to grow.
