First Workshop of 2017: Grow Your Own Microgreens/Soil Sprouts in January

January 19, 2017 – Thursday
5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

January 21, 2017 – Saturday
10:00 am – 11:00 am

Information:

Learn how to grow nutrient-dense Soil Sprouts in less than 5 to 7 days for your salads, soups, sandwiches, and as a fresh daily snack. You will have “fresh salad greens every day at your finger tips” and it does not require special grow lights or fancy equipment. It is easy to do “inside the home and year-round!” This is a great way to practice the art of container gardening with no need for a large space. You practically have everything you need in your own home to accomplish this – but you do need to learn the “specific steps and tools” to succeed. This workshop will provide trays, appropriate soil mix and other needed components to get you started, a get started booklet with detailed information, and more – and then you will be on your way to enjoying these fresh tasty green sprouts every day. And, yes, you will bring home a set of sprout gardens to see the results immediately within days. All of our workshops are make and take, DIY, and educational as well as fun.

Why January?

Container Crazy CT added January as the timing for this workshop because nothing beats the cold winter blues away faster than having fresh growth in your home during winter. Offering this workshop in early November as well will have you showcasing your fresh sprout greens in time for Thanksgiving too. This is a great indoor productive gardening technique. I’m so excited to share it with you. I’ve been testing and perfecting the steps – so you will have all you need to be successful. It will save you money too because fresh sprouts are costly in markets. Sprouts may be grown inside the home “year-round.” Once you know how and get going, you will be hooked adding them to your soups, salads, snacks, appetizers, and as beautiful showy garnishes to dishes.
